Parents would get time off work to go to kids' school events under new bill

Representative Frederica Wilson introduced a bill that would provide eligible workers with additional job-protected leave for children’s and grandchildren’s school and community activities. The leave would be unpaid unless workers use an available paid-leave bank, and the bill has no cosponsors.
