The Alliance for American Leadership says it organized more than 120 Gen Z volunteers to phone-bank for Adrian Boafo, a candidate for Maryland’s Fifth District. The group says it plans to bring more than 120 advocates to the Capitol on June 25 to demand the restoration of foreign aid.
The group said it endorsed Boafo because he supports federal workers and foreign assistance. It said he signed its pledge to dedicate two percent of the federal budget to diplomacy and development programs and co-sponsored the Maryland Protect our Federal Workers Act of 2025. Alliance executive director Asher Moss said the shutdown of USAID cost Maryland jobs and federal contracts and grants, and reduced public health, famine relief and development programs.
