The FBI is leading an investigation after a man charged Rep. Ilhan Omar’s town hall podium and sprayed an unknown liquid at her, Minneapolis police said. Omar was not visibly injured, and authorities said preliminary reports indicated the liquid was non-toxic.
Minneapolis police said a man used a syringe to spray an unknown liquid at Omar during her town hall, then was tackled by a security guard. Police identified the man as Anthony Kazmierczak, 55, and said he was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault.
